Foundation: Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge
The Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge 2012 Grant Awards gave out $175,000 to charities and nonprofits. Two dozen nonprofits in Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta received the grants, meeting needs from adult education to counseling for low-income families.
The $12 million endowment of the foundation is invested so that grants, scholarships and other awards can be given to meet community needs for decades to come.
