$1.5 million in grants was awarded by Charlotte-based Snyder's-Lance Inc. The gift to 13 area charities is meant to recognize the upcoming 100th year anniversary of the Lance Brand.
A donation of $250,000 went to the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation for a plan to improve the health of students enrolled in Project LIFT schools on the city's west side.
