"Wesner Pierre is a positive change-maker, having worked in the social purpose sector for more than a dozen years," Andrew Bettwy, board president of New York City's Partnership with Children, says in a press release.
"Throughout his career, Pierre has driven innovation and growth with an unwavering commitment to youth, families, and community development."
The 114-year-old nonprofit, which supports the mental health and wellness of New York City schoolchildren, has named the former senior managing director of programs at Harlem Children's Zone as its next CEO, the New York Daily News reports.
Wesner Pierre will take over for Margaret Crotty, who is leaving to become CEO of John Snow International and its affiliate, World Education International.
"We are delighted to welcome Wesner Pierre as our new CEO who will continue to build upon our organization's significant accomplishments, financial strengths, and most importantly our trusted reputation among the communities and children we serve," Bettwy says.
