"I am truly honored to be asked to serve in this way and excited to join a very talented group of leaders to advance children's health in our country," says Meg Rush, president of Vanderbilt University's Children's Hospital.
Rush, a neonatologist, has been elected to the board of trustees of the Children's Hospital Association, which represents more than 220 children's hospitals nationwide, the Tennessean reports.
As part of her new role, Rush will be responsible for leading and collaborating across CHA's 220 member hospitals, providing strategic guidance on policy development, advocacy, quality, and improvement, learning, and engagement, and much more.
"The Board of Trustees is an active group of individuals who bring diverse vantage points from their individual hospitals, systems, and states but with a shared vision of working together to advance causes important to the health and well-being of our youth," Rush says.
