If you're in a bookshop, there's a good chance you'll come across a title that doesn't exactly jibe with your interests.
That's because, as the Bookseller's Journal reports, the European & International Booksellers Federation has come up with a list of no-holds-barred, no-censorship books.
The list, which was presented at the EIBF's annual conference in Prague this week, includes works by Gabriel Garc ? a M ? rquez, Toni Morrison, and Salman Rushdie, among others.
The EIBF says the goal of the list is to "raise awareness of, and debate about, the importance of literature in our society," per the Guardian.
The authors' names weren't on the list, however.
The EIBF says the list was inspired by the group's Freedom of Expression Charter, which outlines guidelines for dealing with threats of censorship, harassment, and bullying, among other things.
