Jody Becker is a special education teacher at Holland Woods Middle School in Port Huron, Mich.; Shylah Eagle is the principal at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Port Huron; and Wanda Knott is a reading interventionist at Crull Elementary School.
All three have been named Port Huron Area Schools' educators of the year, innovator of the year, and advocator of the year, respectively, the Times Herald reports.
"It was my privilege to honor these three educators who have each committed their entire careers to our students," says Superintendent Theo Kerhoulas.
"The best part is watching them share the moment with their colleagues, families, and students who were all sworn to secrecy."
