It's that time of year again: time to open your wallet and see how you can make a difference in the life of a child.
The Aspen Community Foundation has a number of ways you can do just that this year, including by contributing to a child-care fund or by making a donation to a worthy cause, reports the Aspen Times.
Colorado residents who donate to child care can get a tax credit of up to $100,000 per year for up to 50% of the donation, which can be used for anything from preschool programs to after-school programs.
"Many in our community know that childcare continues to be a pain point for countless families in our region," the foundation says in a press release.
" philanthropic contributions to not just balance their budget, but also to offer high-quality services and support for both staff and students."
