Children's books in the Indian state of Goa are rare and hard to find, the New York Times reports.
"The crisis of local children's literature in Goa is stark reminder of the importance of local cultural heritage," says a blog post at Story, an online platform that offers children's stories in multiple languages.
"To address this gap, volunteers are needed to translate and create content, ensuring that Goa's children have access to stories that reflect their heritage."
