So writes Alex Sterling in a press release announcing that Ifeyinwa Okafor, co-founder and CEO of Nigeria's Wholesome Parenting School, has been awarded a 2024 Global Recognition Award.
The honor "highlights the significant achievements of Okafor and her organization, including coaching nearly 200 clients, positively impacting over 500 families, and guiding three at-risk teenagers from severe depression to thriving conditions," per the press release.
As Okafor puts it, "By challenging the prevalent notion that technology and social media are inherently harmful to parenting, Okafor and her team have introduced a new paradigm.
They advocate for a parenting style that embraces technology, teaching skills, and values that emphasize the importance of wholesomeness and resilience in the digital age."
The school, which has a client base of about 80 customers, two active communities with more than 370 members combined, and a mailing list of more than 600 subscribers, offers a platform that allows parents to manage technology use within their families, "
