About a third of kids in Pakistan aren't in schooland that's a "serious issue," according to the country's minister for human resource development.
"We are facing a very serious challenge," says Sherry Rehman, per the Nation.
About 26 million kids under the age of 15 are out of school in the country, she says.
The issue was discussed at a summit Friday, the Daily Pakistan reports.
Rehman says the government is working on ways to attract foreign investment to improve education in the country, which has the lowest per-capita income of any country in the world, the Daily Pakistan notes.
