If you're an 8-year-old girl, chances are you've also heard of First Stop News, an online news channel specifically geared to kids ages 8 and older.
And if you're an 8-year-old boy, chances are you've also heard of the Kardashians.
That's because First Stop News, which launched in August, is the first news channel specifically geared to kids, according to a press release.
It features "news stories that blend breaking news with compelling stories, all tailored to the interests and comprehension levels of children aged 8 and older," the press release notes.
First Stop News was co-founded by Kelsey Russell, who also co-hosts the Today show, the New York Daily News reports.
According to the press release, First Stop News is "redefining how young audiences interact with current events through its innovative approach to children's media."
In addition to breaking news, First Stop News features "edutainment" content that helps kids develop "critical thinking skills" and "early development of critical thinking skills," the press release notes.
It's currently available on iTunes, Google Play, and YouTube.
