"Healing patients means caring for the whole childthe body, mind, and spirit," Julie Butler, vice president at Children's National Hospital Foundation, says in a press release.

"We tailor everything we do to meet kids' needs and so much of it relies on philanthropy."

That's why the Washington, DC, hospital is "thrilled" to announce a $1 million donation from Atlantic Coast Mortgage over the next five years, which will go toward a new Gallery presented by ACM at Children's National.

The gallery, which opened May 30, features art that "brings joy to Children's National patients, families, staff and visitors," per the press release.

"Our goal with this pledge is to continue doing our part in supporting Children's National as it makes a significant and tangible difference in our local communities and in the lives of the children and families in the Washington, DC- region," Timur Tunador, CEO of Atlantic Coast Mortgage, says in the release.
