Militaries Refocusing on Battlefield Innovation: Weapons and Warfare

A Vermont man is facing up to life in prison after police say he left his 7-year-old granddaughter in the care of a woman he met online.

Police say 46-year-old Michael Lundin of Jacksonville, Vt., left the girl in the care of a woman he met on dating site Plenty of Fish, reports the Caledonian Record.

Police say Lundin told the girl he was going to pick her up from school and take her home.

Instead, he left her in the care of a woman he met on dating site Plenty of Fish and drove off in her car, police say.

The girl's mother called police, who found Lundin hiding in a barn behind her house.

Police say he confessed to the crime.

Lundin faces up to life in prison.
