If you're a toy company marketing to kids, you may want to steer clear of this year's New York Toy Fair.
The Consumerist reports the event, which takes place Monday and Tuesday at the Jacob Javits Center, is the only one of its kind in the US, and it's packed to the brim with "hands-on, insider tips" from toy industry execs on everything from media planning to "how to talk to kids in the metaverse."
Topics on the agenda include "The Trends, Tools, and Tactics To Win At Kids MediaInsights & Visibility into What Works and Why," "How to build a more effective media plan while navigating the children's media marketplace," and "How to talk to kids today, chat one-on-one with Dona as she presents a candid, foundational talk on Kid privacy rules and regulations in today's digital world."

A Gilesgate-based shop and community facility, Hexham’s Core Music, launches a separate workshop where up to six people will be trained how to repair guitars and make ukuleles. The European Social Fund grant supported the project and has secured funds through the County Durham Communication Foundation to equip the workshop in Burn Lane.
