Louis parking lot Sunday night, the St.
Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Police say they responded to a report of a man with a gun around 10:30pm Sunday and found the woman and her child in a car in the lot of an apartment complex on the city's north side.
Police say the man got out of the car, pointed a gun at the woman and her child, and ordered them to "get on the ground or he would shoot them," according to KMOX.
The woman managed to escape and called police.
