Sean Moore Named Division Director of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition

"This truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change the outcomes together for children with digestive disease, here and everywhere," says a new leader at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Sean Moore, a pediatrician and pediatric gastroenterologist, has been named head of the hospital's Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, returning to Cincinnati Children's from the University of Virginia, where he's served as professor of pediatrics and chief of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition since 2020, per a press release.

"He is very familiar with our culture of innovation, and he brings strengths in research, clinical care, education, and advocacy," says Paul Spearman, MD, vice chair for Clinical and Translational Research and Education at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

"He truly wants everyone to succeed and cares deeply about improving the lives of children in Cincinnati and globally," adds Prasad Devarajan, MD, director of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, and Karen Jerardi, MD, MEd, interim co-director of the Division of Hospital Medicine.
