A children's charity in Florida is putting its money where its mouth is.
The Children's Trust is offering $1 million in grants to community organizations in Miami-Dade County that come up with "new ideas, strategies, and programs not previously tried in our diverse diverse community to solve an existing equity problem and promoting effective opportunities for vulnerable populations of children to thrive," the charity says in a press release.
Last year, the charity gave out 22 grants totaling more than $1 million to projects that ranged from mental health initiatives to youth entrepreneurship, reports the Miami Herald.
"As much as we now know that these programs can and have worked to address social justice racial equity issues and more, we also know there is more work do together," says Children's Trust President and CEO James R.H.
