The Unifour Foundation Endowment is accepting grant applications from nonprofits in Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, and Catawba counties in North Carolina for the 2021-22 fiscal year, the Hickory Daily News reports. The grants will be awarded between $5,000 and $10,000.
According to a press release, the Unifour Foundation Endowment was created in 1996 with the proceeds from the sale of the Hickory Merchants Association's credit reporting company to Equifax. Since then, it has awarded more than $4.7 million in grants.
“These grants provide an opportunity for our nonprofits to grow their local impact,” Lee Rogers, president of the Unifour Foundation Endowment, says in the press release. “Their work makes the Unifour region stronger and we’re honored to support them.”
