That's what Lindsay Sites, director of the Youth Volunteer Corps of Reading, has to say about her daughter.
Madilyn Fratis, a recent high school graduate from Berks County, Pa., has been honored with the first annual Youth of the Year Award from YVCR, which engages more than 500 Berks County students annually in projects that serve the community.
During her high school career, Fratis has logged more than 175 hours of volunteer time with YVCR, which includes projects such as a summer story-time program for preschoolers and a podcast called "The Powerful Youth Perspective."
She's also been a leader on the Youth Advisory Board of Berks County Community Foundation and YVCR, as well as on the advisory board of VOiCEup and the Youth Advisory Board of Berks County Community Foundation.
"I have had the privilege of working with Maddy over two years on these community projects," Sites says.

Fratis will be attending Elizabethtown College this fall as a National Corps of Stamps Scholar,
