Students in a small Minnesota school district may soon be donning head coverings for hunting season.
The Menahga School District board voted unanimously Tuesday to form a committee to look into providing licensed day care for students and teachers, the Park Rapids Enterprise reports.
Board member Julia Kicker proposed conducting a survey to determine how many teachers and parents would be interested in day care at the school.
"And then I look at how many young teachers we're hiring," she said.
"Some of them don't have children, some may have children in the future."
Superintendent Jay Kjos said he spoke to a district that has a licensed day care program.
"They said it was a gigantic process, but it was worth it because the community supports it," he said.
He suggested creating a committee to determine if it was feasible for Menahga, and if so, how to move forward.
Kicker and board member Cherie Peterson will serve on the committee.
