India's National Children Science Congress is known as the world's largest children's science competition, and this year's event will be held in the country for the first time, the Times of India reports.
The congress, which runs from Jan.
27 to Jan.
31 this year, aims to promote science and technology among children around the world.
The Indian embassy in Bahrain, which organized the competition, says it's the first time such a competition has been held in the Middle East, the Daily Tribune reports.
The aim of the competition is to give Bahrain's residents of Indian origin a chance to compete against students from around the world.
The winners of the 10- to 17-year-old categories will go on to compete in the National Children Science Congress held in India every year.
