Kids in Whitefish, Montana, will soon have more room to play thanks to a $10,000 grant from a local foundation.
The Whitefish Community Foundation awarded the money to the Whitefish Community School after mold was found in the nonprofit childcare facility's basement this summer, the Missoulian reports.
The foundation's board of directors recognized that "quality childcare facilities such as Whitefish Community School are vital to the health and well-being of Flathead Valley families and businesses," per a press release.
"Due to the closure of the basement, we were operating at 60% of our capacity and had very limited indoor space for the children," the school's director says.
