If you're looking for a place to send your kids to college, there's a good chance they'll end up in Latvia.
That's because the tiny Baltic country, with a population of just 1.3 million, is one of the fastest-growing countries in the world in terms of its renewable-energy goals, Bloomberg reports.
Latvia aims to get 32% of its energy from renewable sources by 2030, up from the 20% target set by the European Union, according to a report by the Latvian Academy of Sciences.
The country gets about 70% of its energy from biomass (think wood pellets and wood chips) and 40% from wind power, but it's got plenty of room for growth, the report says.
"With a long coastline along the Baltic Sea and favorable wind conditions, Latvia has the potential to become a significant player in the European wind energy market," the report says.
"However, the country's wind power capacity currently remains relatively low, with only a few operational wind farms."
