A heartwarming story out of Barcelona, where professional soccer players went out of their way to make Christmas for kids in the hospital and children's homes.
The players from Barcelona's first team squad, who are part of the FC Barcelona Foundation's Emotional Wellbeing program, visited a number of hospitals and care homes in the Spanish city over the holidays, per a press release.
"Being able to see, talk to, and meet the blaugrana idols in person was a truly emotional and joyous moment for all these children and young people going through a tough time during the festive period," a foundation rep says.
The players even gave the kids gifts, signing autographs and taking selfies.
"The smiles, excitement and joy are excellent therapy for these children, some of whom have serious conditions," the press release notes.
