A 16-year-old girl in Nigeria is in critical condition after being hit by a car while walking to school on Friday, the Guardian reports.
Per Channels TV, the girl, identified only as Zainab, was on her way to school to begin eighth grade when the driver of the car veered off the road and hit her.
Zainab was taken to a local hospital, where she is said to be in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle has not been identified.
